Some people think the Bible is not important. If they would consider what it can do; they might believe differently.
1) Create anew. The word of God can lead one to be born again. Peter commended some for "having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God..." (1 Pt. 1:23). Have you experienced this rebirth? It comes through obedience to God's will as revealed in His word.
2) Sanctify. To sanctify is to set apart for a holy purpose. In His prayer, Jesus asked the Father to "Sanctify them by Thy truth. Thy word is truth" (Jn. 17:17). When heeded, God's word sets us apart from the world for His service.
3) Preserve. The word of God keeps us on track. Paul commended it to the Ephesian elders because it is that, “which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance..." (Acts 20:32). Let God's word guide your path and keep you pure.
