It amazes me the scores of people who have trouble accepting the fact that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Is Jesus the Son of God?
1. Jesus said so. Jesus said to his disciples, "I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father" (Jn. 16:28).
2. God the Father said so. After Jesus’ baptism by John we read, "And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased" (Mt. 3:17). God said it, that settles it.
3. The Devils said so. In the country of the Gergesenes, Jesus met two demon possessed men..."And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?" (Mt. 8:29).
4. His Enemies said so. After Jesus’ death we learn, "Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God" (Mt. 27:54).
Jesus is the Son of God. Do you believe (Jn. 8:24)?
